A reimagining of Strindberg’s Miss Julie set in the scorching summer heat of 1971, Los Angeles. Laurel Canyon is turned upside down when a failed artist throws a pagan summer solstice party to change her fortune. In the downstairs kitchen of her estate, Miss Julie’s staff roll their eyes, harbor their own ambitions, and hatch a plan of desire and freedom that ultimately shatters the lives of everyone involved.
