The Human Condition in Song: a Weill/Brel Cabaret

Aug 28 - 29 · Burlingame Space

live-musicavant-gardevarietymusicaldrama

We're delighted to invite you on a musical journey through the songs of Jacques Brel and Kurt Weill—two passionate 20th century composers. If you attended our preview show at the Old Church last March, you already know that these visceral songs express the many layers and passions of the human condition like no others before or since.

Audience members called the Preview “a tonic for our times”, saying “It was an honor to be there.” Two riveting singers, Sharon Fendrich and Stephanie Torres De Los Santos, will perform for you, with Theresa Koon at the piano.
We’ve added a second act to the program, with more evocative songs and characters for you to discover, including Mack the Knife, September Song, and Le Diable. This longer version will be cabaret-style at Burlingame Space, an intimate venue with seating at small tables. Wine and snacks are available for sale.

7pm August 28 & 29, 8423 SW Terwilliger Boulevard, Portland.https://theweillandbrelshow.com/#upcoming

There are only 40 seats for each of two nights, so we recommend making your reservations soon!
