Tears and Glitter is a new play by Mikki Gillette. The performance is at the Backdoor Theater behind Common Grounds Coffeehouse at 4321 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97215.

Tears and Glitter follows the intertwined lives of former lovers Tara and Dita, reclusive activist Quinn, increasingly radical Collier, and lovestruck young Murph.

As white nationalist forces mobilize against Pride celebrations, relationships fracture and reform, and political ideologies are tested. This powerful new drama asks urgent questions about resistance, community, and how far one will go to protect those they love.

Tears and Glitter captures the raw reality of trans experience in today's America—a timely and essential story of resilience in the face of growing hostility, and a testament to finding beauty and connection even in our darkest moments.
