Mundo de las Mujeres Art Gallery

This art exhibition is part of Milagro's Theatre's MUNDO DE LAS MUJERES Women's History Month Festival. Patrons attending Andrea Menchaca’s March 21 comedy show, Speaking American, will also have the opportunity to tour this exhibition.

IDEAL PDX and Milagro invite you to join us for Mundo de las Mujeres Art Gallery, a celebration of Latina/e artistry, resilience, and identity. Featured visual works explore the multitudes of womanhood — sexuality, gender expression, spirituality, lineage, body politics, and the intimate relationship between self and place – as well as pieces that speak to the urgency of the moment: visibility, migration, belonging, political pressure, joy as resistance, and the ways Latina/e women carry, confront, and transform the narratives placed upon us. At this vibrant gathering ground for artists, community members, and supporters, attendees will have the opportunity to view and purchase original works, meet the artists, and celebrate the power of Latina/e creativity.
