Lewis & Clark College Fall 2026 Student-Produced One-Act Festival

Lewis & Clark College Fall 2026 Student-Produced One-Act Festival

Oct 1 - 3 · Fir Acres Theatre (at Lewis and Clark College)

Three short student-written and directed one-act plays.

Galatea
Written by Ellie Schwartz
Directed by Skyler Gresham

This play follows, as one might expect, the character of Galatea as; after being carved from wax by a boy who says he loves her, she struggles to reconcile her own personhood and individuality apart from his oppressive expectation of who she should be.

Cleanse Yourself
Written by Jazz Buskin
Directed by Zane Whitney

This sharply comedic play follows a woman whose secret, upon receiving a colonoscopy, is revealed.

I Always Knew It Would End This Way
Written by Josh Nguyen
Directed by Leigha Fickling

This adaptation of E.M. Forster’s short story “The Machine Stops” tells the story of Kuno, a young man disillusioned with the life set before him by The Machine. In a world, perhaps not so far off from our own, where the surface of the earth is charred and humanity is confined to cells of their own making, he must choose between indoctrination and freedom.
